Since joining McKinley Research Group in 2010, Kirsten has managed a range of complex projects, including economic impact analyses, needs assessments, community development analysis, and strategic planning.

Kirsten leads a team of consultants and research analysts, providing project management and oversight on a range of topics including culture and education, community resiliency and planning, and public engagement. Kirsten is skilled at reporting information to clients and communities in concise, accessible, and culturally meaningful ways to enable sound decision-making.

Born and raised in a commercial fishing family in Juneau, Kirsten holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Biology from Amherst College.
